Molecular's Rich Online Application Process

This Rich Internet Application (RIA) streamlines the online
application process by eliminating the HTML page refreshes which often cause a slow, confusing and frustrating user experience.  The solution guides users through the online application process by providing a convenient layout of the various account types that the financial institution offers, as well as easy-to-use customer support features. In addition, the user has the option of saving information entered at any point to complete the application at a later time,
adding convenience and flexibility to the application process.

With such a streamlined, individually-tailored process, the applicant is able to complete their specific application in a timelier and less frustrating manner, ultimately resulting in increased customer acquisition and reduced operational costs for the firm.  A rich online application process can reduce the time to open the account, improve the accuracy of the information collected, and boost customer confidence for any company that requires the collection of a large amount of customer data.

To provide you the best experience in trying the demo, we suggest the following path:

You will start on a sample home page of a financial services firm.

  • Click on the Apply Now link in the middle of the screen.
  • A pop-up window will appear. The window will ask you to select an account type. Click on “Rollover IRA,” then select “Apply Online.”
  • Enter your information into the fields. Note that the active field is highlighted. Highlighting the active field and using color to indicate incomplete required fields provide real-time feedback to reduce user errors and time to complete the application.
  • Click on the Question Mark button next to Social Security Number. A pop up box will appear to provide contextual help while completing the form. If a mistake is made filling out the form, the user is alerted through proactive validation. Once the error has been corrected, the message disappears. Select the Next Step button once complete.
  • Note the “Save & Finish Later” and “Print Preview My Application” buttons at the bottom of the page. These features allow users to save an application to complete at a later time, or print an application with information entered to date. Saved applications can be stored for a limited time (as specified by the firm). Customers can return to the point where they left off or review their overall progress.
