Consultant, Technical Architect - New York Office

Overall Accountability and Job Summary

The Consultant, Technical Architect demonstrates high competence in web technologies within enterprise solutions. Captures business requirements and translates business challenges into technical solutions for medium to large projects (400-800k). They identify and advocate for new technologies within engineering team, attend design reviews and provides value-added feedback and insight. They develops continuous understanding and research of current engineering trends (titles, tools, methodologies, deliverables, etc.), contributes to the development of a detailed project plan, including performance objectives. The Consultant, Technical Architect works independently, serving as a discipline lead on mid-size project(s), and overseeing work plan execution. Independently follows Molecular Model, and adapts to specific client needs. Monitors and tracks project progress, resolves barriers and conflicts to insure success at achieving client objectives. Predicts and mitigates risk at discipline level.

Consulting / Client Leadership:

  • Highly competent in external consulting skills and techniques, serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong client relationships at senior levels.
  • Understands client’s business needs provides insight beyond current project(s).
  • Runs effective working client meetings presentations to mid-level clients.
  • Understands business problems and works with the client to apply our solutions to their problems.
  • Effectively utilizes Mahan techniques to maximize client relationship.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of Molecular’s history of solutions and case studies and the ability to communicate the value of these solutions to existing and prospective clients.

Molecular Leadership / Staff Management:

  • Mentors and develops less experienced staff within and outside of assigned discipline.
  • Provides constructive feedback to project team members.
  • Establishes alliances across disciplines to maximize efficiency.
  • Leads internal effort to accomplish inter-disciplinary Company objectives.
  • Participates in interviewing for top level talent.
  • Supports business development activities as a Discipline Lead including contributing to sales strategy, project estimation, sales presentations and proposal creation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area.
  • Proven track record delivering production systems within timeline and budget constraints.
