Access, Search and Brand Consistency. How FCHP's New Web Design Brought Them All Together.
Challenge:
Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP) was looking to build a better Internet presence and leverage the Web to gain operational efficiencies. The prior site design did not allow members to access information quickly or easily, presented inconsistent branding, and lacked functionality in that it had an outdated Search feature, confusing member forms and an unintuitive Physician Finder tool. Site content was managed manually and was difficult to maintain without a proper content management system. In addition, FCHP needed a secure enterprise environment, including development, production and test servers to facilitate back-end integration of the new site.
Approach
Molecular started by creating an intuitive navigation, layout and expansion
of search capabilities, including key-word search. From there, the
team created a new visual design which included a revised color palette,
typography, graphics and photography. A small scale, custom built content
management system was implemented so that FCHP’s team could enter,
manage, store and display select content. Molecular also improved the
existing Physician Finder tool by making it easier for customers to locate a
physician. Finally, Molecular collaborated with FCHP to evaluate its hardware
and software needs and provided infrastructure design consulting,
hardware/software and database installation, and management and coordination
with a third party security consulting firm.
Benefits
- Content management system streamlines internal information
management. - The new design is more user-friendly and robust.
- Brand consistency with other advertising and marketing vehicles.
