Molecular Honored with Three 2006 W3 Awards for Innovative Web Initiatives
| Watertown, Mass. – October 30, 2006 – Molecular, Inc., a leading internet consulting firm, today announced that the company has been selected as the winner of three 2006 W³ Awards. Molecular was bestowed with a Silver Award in the Structure and Navigation category for its work with Paiva. In addition, Molecular received two Silver Awards in the overall Professional Services and Structure and Navigation categories for the company's work with Rentokil Initial. | ![]() |
Molecular's initiative with Paiva, a new women’s athletic brand from leading athletic retailer The Finish Line, Inc., involved the launch of an e-commerce site that would establish the Paiva brand in the marketplace, while infusing the same energy and freshness of the store brand and concept into a tightly integrated customer experience online. The creative design approach uses imagery, color, tone and layout to deliver an immersive customer experience that both engages shoppers and enables them to make highly-informed buying decisions. Using guided navigation, an innovative interactive search tool tailors the online shopping experience around the needs of customers, enabling them to find products based on attributes that are most important to them, such as brand, price, color and size. In addition, a "lounge" area on the site parallels the community features offered in the store and emphasizes Paiva's premium service, in-depth product knowledge and expertise by offering the latest health, fitness and event information.
Molecular's work for Rentokil Initial, one of the largest business services companies in the world with some 70,000 employees in over 40 countries, was focused on designing and developing the global landing page and national UK web site for Rentokil Pest Control that would then serve as a model to be customized and deployed across Pest Control's 37 country specific web sites. As a result of this redesign project, the web site now provides the foundation for a consistent experience with the Rentokil Pest Control brand by customers and prospects worldwide. In addition, local entities can quickly and easily add or modify market sites that are consistent with the brand value proposition and can be adjusted to fit the needs and circumstances of local markets.
“These awards are further evidence of our leadership as a company and commitment to our customers to develop engaging Internet experiences that deliver measurable business impact, creative vision and technology innovation,” said Ralph Folz, CEO of Molecular. “We are honored to be included among this group of distinguished leaders as they continue to set a high standard of excellence for Web consulting and development.”
